LONE ROCK CEMETERY
Catalogued October 4, 1975 by the Lone Rock 4-H Club under the
direction of Mrs. Richard Rasmussen. Located at the north edge of
the village and bordered on the north by U.S. 14. A separate enclosure
stands along the highway on the north side. Two children and one Civil
War veteran remain here, while a Confederate veteran, N. J. Jennings,
was reported to have been removed to the main cemetery south of the
highway. However no monument has been erected to date to mark his last
resting place. The grounds are in good condition. The first known
burial was in 1856.
